Insect screens
An insect screen is almost a must for every window that is opened for airing: it keeps all kinds of insects out in the hot months.
Four solutions
Depending on the configuration of the joinery we offer different kinds of screen.
- Fixed
- For every window nobody passes through and where the screen never has to be moved.
- Hinged
- The most practical. The mechanism is as simple as can be: the screen hangs on a hinged frame and opens and closes when needed – for example to clean the fixed parts of the window. It lasts a very long time. In winter the screen can be lifted off its hinges and put away, which makes the mesh last longer and keeps it from ageing.
- Roller
- Made in a frame of their own, with guides and a spring-loaded roller that holds the mesh. They go up and down as you need, and because the mesh is put away so easily, the fixed parts of the window are easier to clean from outside.
- Sliding
- For sliding doors and windows. They sit in a frame of their own and run on their own track.
Together we will choose the option that suits your needs best.
Material and fitting
The frames, guides and rollers are aluminium, powder-coated white. We also offer the full range of RAL colours.
The screens are fitted on the outside of the joinery. It is best to fit them together with the joinery, and for some kinds this is a must.
Tell us the sizes and we will work out the price
The width and height of each opening are enough, plus whether you prefer PVC or aluminium. Together we will decide which option suits your home, office, shop or hotel best.
